Digital Avatar - Conversational AI Platform
An interactive digital avatar that reimagines identity as a conversation: a virtual, conversational version of a person that listens, thinks, and speaks back in real time, available on the web, WhatsApp, and Telegram.
The Challenge
A static profile or namecard can't answer questions. The product vision was an avatar that represents a real person: one that visitors can talk to naturally, that answers from that person's own knowledge, and that works inside the chat apps people already use.
What We Built
We built the full real-time voice loop of speech-to-text, LLM inference, and text-to-speech, so the avatar listens and speaks back naturally. A customised retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipeline gives each avatar its own knowledge base, so it answers as that specific person rather than as a generic chatbot. Conversations were automated onto WhatsApp and Telegram, and a Next.js configuration and management dashboard, integrated with a shared platform API and Cognito authentication, lets owners manage their avatars.
The Outcome
A production conversational AI platform proving the full voice stack in-house: real-time speech pipelines, per-persona RAG, multi-channel chat automation, and secure multi-tenant management.
